I'm familiar with the use of bed rails in the hospital as an important part of fall protection and patient safety. Twice serving as the hospital safety officer this is something we monitored closely, because they work.
Today, patients are discharged home sooner than they once were and some "patients" don't really get to the point of needing to be hospitalized, like me. I needed support getting in and out of the bed, and a few times was afraid I would fall off my bed as I struggled to reposition or turn. As I started looking around the Internet, I found that there are bed rails anyone can use at home. There are also portable models for those who travel. The one pictured below is the one I would have needed, if I had found it. Not only did I need it to help me keep me in or get out of bed, but the support as I took my first step would have been reassuring.
Visit my online shop to see and compare the different models and let me know if you have any questions!
