I've sometimes had a new piece of clothing where the button hole seems smaller than the button and this makes for a struggle. Earlier this year, clothing that was well worn proved to be a huge struggle during dressing, undressing and bathroom breaks. II was frustrated by not being able to control my hands and the added effort added to my fatigue. The latter was especially important and finally caused me to purchase pull-on shorts and pants.
So, I started looking around. What could I use when I needed to wear dress pants or one of my few button up shirts. This post is about the best options I found and why the items are included.
- Due to my neuropathy, I couldn't hold a fork or toothbrush, so I needed something with a large handle. The Good Grips Button Hook was an excellent solution with its stubby handle.
- While scouring the Internet, I also came across a Button/Zipper Hook that also made it possible for me to pull up a zipper. This item, also has a stubby foam handle that is easy to grasp.
3. More recently, I came across the magical Magnetic Button that basically converts
the button, into a snapping mechanism. Right now it is offered only in shirt size buttons, but hopefully larger buttons for shorts might be added soon. (I am in Cali and like my shorts.)
A video shows how the Magnetic Button works. Some people just have great ideas and I hope you find that these are three great examples and available in the Christina's Consideration online store.
