The City Manager in Santa Paula is taking decisive action action to minimize the risk of adverse effects of the current financial situation. I agree with Wally because it is an appropriate response to the current situation for families, businesses, cities, states and others.
Since beginning my position in Santa Paula, a full 49 miles from home, I've been buying as much of my gas and weekly purchases as I can to support the City of my employment. I encourge everyone else to do the same. It is a great place to live and work and deserves a bright future.
Some of my favorite Santa Paula supported businesses include:
http://www.venturalimoncello.com/
http://www.santapaulaairport.org/
http://www.redhotfoods.com/ (I smell the sauces brewing on my way to and from work)
http://groups.ucanr.org/Hansen/Faulkner%5FFarm/
There are many other small businesses in town and I encourage each to leave their mark by adding a comment to this post with a link to their website. I helped stimulate the New Orleans economy after Katrina and want to help stimulate the Santa Paula economy during these difficult financial market times.
Nice links, Christina.
