The College of Arts and Sciences at LSU allowed me to basically design my own BS degree. I completed all but a couple of classes for a management degree in the business school and had a strong dose of communications, social science and psychology from A&S to round out my dive into "higher" education. It was a "party" school and I did thoroughly enjoy being away from the family and on my own for the five years I lived in Baton Rouge. While there I worked for the Louisiana State Senate (two years) and then at my second HCA hospital -- Medical Center of Baton Rouge.
Over the last few years I've written about Tulane and have been a bit quite on LSU, which also has a colorful past and distinguished history. I promise to write more about LSU and what makes it so special -- other than the killer annual crawfish boils in LA. (Usually they invite the Tulane Alum who have just never been able to do it as well.)
