HIMSS has a Book of the Year Award and I'm thinking my favorite is Guide to Establishing a Regional Health Information Organization. Yes, it was a personal goal and I put a great deal of time into its production, however, I'm most proud of the fact that this book on community collaboratives was written by a multidisciplinary collaborative of HIMSS members spread all over this country. It is truly worthy of being recognized along with all of the contributors!
I understand it is somewhat of a "blockbuster" as HIT books go... and has sold approximately 450 copies! This alone says enough! If you agree and want to nominate the book, please do so before the October 30 deadline! And, thank you for reading!
