I'm getting a fair number of requests for interviews and invitations to speak to communities building their RHIO. A year ago, I had a flexible schedule and could accommodate these requests. Today, I have a new full time job as a hospital administrator and that is where my primary professional commitment is focused. My interest in RHIOs gets squeezed in between Ventura County Medical Center and my beautiful family.
Since many of these requests are coming from individuals who have found my weblog, I need to offer a couple of suggestions here. First, read the new guide for establishing a RHIO. My chapter is really grounded in my experience with Dr. Brailer and the SBCCDE. You can get a free copy of the guide by participating in a new educational forum which is a collaborative of the eHealth Initiative and HIMSS.
Next, read my recent RHIO posts where I comment on SBCCDE and any links to interviews that are included. Then, if you still have some specific questions please contact me and I will do my best to help. However, 4:30 a.m. on a weekday isn't really a good time to expect that I can make a conference call with your group.
Thank you for your interest in a topic that I believe will help transform healthcare to improve quality, safety, access and efficiency for the communities we serve!
